Lauren Grant will be sitting in with the Smack Talk Crew on August 11th to discuss the release of her upcoming album “ANY LITTLE WAY”. Lauren is a Folk/Indie singer based in Dallas, TX. She was born in Japan and has lived in many countries including Italy and Switzerland, before making her way to America.
She learned to play guitar from her father at age of 12 and started writing songs at 15. Writing and singing has been her passion ever since. Lauren musical influences come from a wide variety of artists, such as: The Cranberries, Lee Ann Womack and No Doubt.
Lauren Grant has been performing in public concerts since 2003 and has had a musical guest appearance on Trix In The Hat TV show; was a Jingle Contest Judge on 106.1 KissFM Kidd Kraddick in the Morning; performed at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Fort Worth, TX. She’s had an original song used in Guess™ ads and performed an original song for a Victor Clark™ clothing TV commercial. In addition, she was one of the top ten finalists in the 2013 “Songs That Save” songwriter competition for St. Judes and won the 2014 Dallas Indie Festival “Artist Of The Year” award.
Wife, mother and professional by day; model and entertainer by evening. Amber has a busy schedule for sure. She began modeling modeling in 2011 and studying the art of burlesque shortly after that. Penny Ruffles was created as a persona to use for her character on stage and in front of the camera. She has been features in pinup magazines such as Classy Keen, Delicious Dolls and Drive-In Magazine. Though she is new to burlesque, performance is something she’s been doing for most of her life in various forms. She trained under local Dallas performers from the Ruby Revue and has performed in several shows since her first burlesque performance in May.

Brad Ruekberg’s humor runs from current events to deeply personal taboo topics. Brad has performed at Addison and Arlington Improv, Dallas and Fort Worth Hyenas, Backdoor Comedy in Dallas, the Joke Joint in Houston, the Beer Hive in Pittsburgh, Kick Butt Austin, Zany’s in Chicago and many showcases, events and festivals. He performed and received training at the Dallas Theater Center and is a graduate of Booker T. Washington H.S. of Performing Arts, Hofstra University in NY and the Dallas Comedy House Improv Comedy Program.
Brad’s production company, Channel Three Productions has directed and produced TV spots and TV shows, working with Greg Gumbel, Mark Cuban, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers, among others. And has won 24 Telly Awards.
